Day Five of the 21 Days Gratitude Challenge

Welcome to the fifth post of my attempt at the 21 Days Gratitude Challenge.

It is so exciting seeing many people making so many posts about all the things that they are grateful for. Don’t miss out on this exciting journey. Join us now on Instagram via the hashtag : #21daysgratitudechallenge

Having a heart of full of gratitude means that you understand that what you currently have is not something that you earn by your own strength, rather that it was given to you as a gift by someone who loves you.

Gratitude signals the end of deservedness. Ingratitude, on the other hand, signals a sense of deservedness. It signals a sense of pride. It signals greed. It signals independence.

[tweet_quote]Gratitude shows undeservedness, humility, temperance and dependence on God.[/tweet_quote]

I understood that today as I realised that a lot of what I get to enjoy today, and what  I have, I do not deserve at all. I only get them because I have a God who is so loving and full of grace.

Today, I am grateful for:

1. The job that I have.

2. My surroundings, my family and my experience that has shaped my personality

3. The people who I get to meet who have impacted my life in many ways.

Yesterday, I posted an invitation for my blog readers to join and donate for the Nias Mass Cataract Surgery Project. I hope you would join in and share the gift of sight to our unfortunate friends in Nias.

Please share with me what you are grateful for in the comments section.
