Day One of the 21 Days Gratitude Challenge

What are you grateful for today?

I began a campaign called “The 21 Days Gratitude Challenge” just yesterday and invited my friends and everyone else to join me in making a commitment to keep in a daily journal at least 3 things they are grateful for in a day. If you haven’t yet, it’s never too late, you can still join now.

The purpose is to replicate the exercise done by some researchers in the US many years ago to show that having the attitude of gratitude can be beneficial for your overall mental and physical health.

I am posting this challenge alongside my Instagram posts so my blog readers who aren’t on Instagram can still stay updated.

Today, here are 3 of the many things I am grateful for:
1. I attended the wake of a distant relative who passed away yesterday. Even though I have probably never met him and it was my parents who knew them better, I am grateful for the family members whom I do know that is still alive today.
2. I get to meet my cousins from Bandung who came to mourn their grandfather. It has been years since I last saw them.
3. Today is Good Friday. I am glad I could celebrate and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to Jesus Christ who was crucified on the cross to redeem me from all my sins and to give me a fulfilled life.
